New consultancy firm created to enhance collaborative opportunities and create a value-driven approach in travel and meetings.
Raj Sachdave, previously the director of commercial partnerships at Capita Travel and Events, has launched Black Box Partnerships LLP (Black Box), a consultancy business for Travel Management Companies (TMCs), event agencies, industry suppliers (inc. tech) such as hotel, venue and ground transportation, aligned to travel HR/procurement leaders.
The aim of Black Box is to work with suppliers and agencies to develop and execute a bigger, smarter and faster strategy around increased sales, commercial benefit and increased value to the travel market.
Moreover, in a crowded market where many suppliers and agencies have lost sight of their identity and market propositions; aided by disruptive trends and technology, Black Box will support strategies to unpick and deliver the most critical components for tomorrow’s business travellers and employers.
“When you consider the effects – positive and negative – that travel and meetings can have on; people, brand, bottom line productivity and budgets, it becomes clear that both HR and procurement strategies belong in the boardroom. It’s the responsibility of our industry to make sure we further enhance business productivity and make travel effortless; supporting good employer status across all industries.” Said Raj Sachdave, managing partner of Black Box, “Our focus at Black Box is to ensure each element of the value chain is considered appropriately, to provide a clear and all-round proposition to the B2B travel market.”
With over 20 years of travel industry experience, Raj achieved his Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) status in 2010. He joined Capita Travel and Events in 2009 and has applied his procurement expertise to achieve smarter buying and mutual benefit for over £500m of customer spend on travel, meetings and events.
Prior to Capita Travel and Events, Raj worked with Virgin Management, trainline.com as senior business development manager, National Express as business account manager, and with Lloyds Asset Finance.
